Congratulations to another Elvis impersonator, Joseph Hall!

For 23 year old Elvis impersonator Joseph Hall, life changed last Halloween when he impersonated Elvis for the first time. Ït's really become a part of my life,"Hall said (see link to the article).

He says he can barely go 24 hours without watching or listening to his hero.

He doesn't seem to have an official website, but he has got a myspace page and whilke there's not a whole lot of information, there is a very good slide show on the King!

This Elvis impersonator, Jay Zanier, has proved himself to be on of the top 10 Elvis impersonators in the world!

Aftder being born and raised in New York he has made Ontario his him.

Jay has been an Elvis impersonator for over 10 years so he has a lot of experience under his belt.

His publicity material says says:

Elvis impersonator Ben Klein was born in the same week as Elvis - just 46 years later! Luckily he was born into a musical family and had all the lessons he needed to learn his musical craft. Can you believe this guy's dad was an Elvis imperson ator also?

His website says:

"In 2002, he bought a '50's Elvis CD for his Dad Randy, who was an Elvis tribute artist before he was born.

Then realizing his own resemblance to the young Elvis, he borrowed the CD, found movies and videos

and decided to listen, watch, study and practice. Ben "Preslee" Klein began tributing Elvis Presley with

Interuption to news on top 10 Elvis impersonators in Memphis contest

Yes, I have been trying to think for days about anyone that has been so admired in history that they have had SO many people try to copy or impersonate them. Can you think of anyone?

In this case, I am talking about Elvis impersonators of course. But realistically, who else in history has had the impact of Elvis Presley?

The funny thing is that everything about him is as appealing today as it was 30 years ago. He was a fine looking man.. he could sing and he had moves way ahead of his time. I reckon that if someone similar came onto the music scene today they would take the breath away of music lovers around the world again.

But you know what?.. I just can't see that happening.. he was differentt- he was unique. As great as he was, he seemed a normal kind of a guy.. people liked him. He wasn't arrogant by any stretch of the imagination.. and he had everything going for him..

This world of the Elvis impersonator really does occupy my mind because I find it so fascinating. I mean.. can you believe there are 85,000 out there around the globe? And you can be any age, any gender.. it doesn't matter. People just love what this guy offered and if you can replicate it well - then they will love you too. You just need to be good and we've been seeing the great ones - the final 10 of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist contest!

So, I just had to put these words out there. How great that I can do this so easily? I have to thank a guy named Ed Dale for teaching me just how to..

And I will continue being a loyal Elvis impersonator fan also.. My aim is to bring the best and latest in news to you..

Meet Elvis impersonator Paul Larcombe

Elvis Impersonator Paul Larcombe won his heat at Blackpool in the U.K. - he came top of 64 other Elvis impersonators from around the world at this particular heat. He became one of the final 10 Elvis impersonators to compete for the title of "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist". The competition took place recently in Memphis to mark the 30 year anniversary of the death of the King himself - Elvis Presley.

"Entertaining is in his blood, but he only chose to concentrate on Elvis when he entered the Blackpool competition." He was, however, a seasoned entertainer and had left his job in the building trade two years prior to concentrate on being a full-time entertainer.

"I decided I wasn't going to go into it with the suit and wig that I had at the time, so I spent £1,300 on two wigs - you have to cut them to suit your head shape. I'm still cutting my wig 12 months later - you daren't take too much off," he says.

"I went into the Blackpool competition with my good wig and my good suit, and I actually started to do the make-up as well - I'd never worn make-up in my life.

"I just tried to get it right - replica jewellery, replica boots, the voice, the moves, the mannerisms - in whatever I've done I've always tried to get things right, and it's the same with this. A job's not worth doing if you can't do it right.

"I've always thought that - if I thought I was going to look stupid I wouldn't have gone out there."

Not bad for being a fairly new Elvis impersonator - congratulations on getting into the top 10!

Elvis impersonator Donny Edwards grew up listening to Elvis and watching his movies. What an impression this would make on his life..

His uncle had even met Elvis in person in the army - not something many can claim..

From a young age people would tell Donny he looked like Elvis. He worked hard at learning to imitate the Kings voice and his moves.

His website says:

Elvis impersonator - Trent Carlini

Meet another Elvis impersonator who made it into the final 10 of the first ever Ultime Elvis Tribute Artist competition in Memphis.

Trent Carlini was born in Chicago to parents who immigrated to the United States from Italy. At the age of five he became a fan of Rock' n Roll and began playing guitar at 10 years old. Music had become a major part of his life within just those short years. He attended school in Italy and then moved back to the U.S. in 1987, making Florida his home. "One could always find Trent, performing in local clubs!" his website states.

After the death of Elivs in 1977 a change in Trent's muscial direction took place and he decided to become an Elvis impersoantor, trying to recreate the syle of the man he'd so admired and who had had a huge impact on his life. Trent's star really began to shine in 1988 when he was chosen to star in the Annual Birthday Tribute to the King at the Star Plaza Theater in Indiana. And that was it - Trent has been a truly sought after Elvis impersonator ever since.

"Today, Trent Carlini is living his dream of re-inventing the phenomenon in his Las Vegas show, "The Dream King." I am hoping to better aquaint you with the ten Elvis impersonators who made it to the final round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist competition which saw Shawn Klush come out as the ultimate winner.. The competition was held to cooncide with the 30th anniversary of the death of Elvis in Memphis.

These final 10 impersonators, or tribute artists as the Presley Estate prefers them to be called, really worked hard to get where they did and so they do deserve some recognition.

That's right folks.. "after years of resistance to Elvis impersonators, managers of Presley's home in Memphis this year are holding an Elvis competition. Karate moves, big hair and rhinestone jumpsuits are all OK, but nothing tacky. The judges say they're looking for sincerity and respect" so says the writer of this story ( see attched).
