"The following top ten finalists were choosen on August 12 during the Qualifying Round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest.

They will go on to compete for the title of "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2007" on August 17.Top Ten Finalists are:

Graceland Makes Way for Elvis Clones - Washington Post

Today, the winner of The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist will be chosen in Graceland.

The "Ultimate Elvis" gets $5,000 in cash, a $5,000 shopping spree at Graceland tourist shops, a $3,000 gift certificate toward the purchase of an Elvis-inspired jumpsuit, a one-of-a-kind "Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist" championship belt and other prizes.

Sounds a great prize. I'll let you know who the winner is..

That's Blackpool in the U.K.and he is one of the last nine..he is the only British performer and one of just two non-US performers in the final. We'll find out on Friday just who is crowned the world's best Elvis "tribute artist"as they are referred to by the official Elvis camp.
