"The 2009 LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival is scheduled to run from Thursday, May 28 through Sunday, May 31, 2009. Friday night's show will be "The Great Pretenders: Elvis and Friends" and Saturday's show will be "That's The Way It Is," celebrating the 40th anniversary of Elvis'® return to the live stage in Las Vegas.

The 2009 festival will take place at Painted Pony festival grounds in Lake Luzerne (thank you to the Town of Lake Luzerne for your support in moving the festival), 6 miles outside of Lake George. All seats will be covered but bring a jacket in case the weather is cool."

The Lake George Elvis® Festival is a sanctioned event under license agreement with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. and is produced in part with funds from Warren County, and the Towns of Lake Luzerne and Lake George.

Third Annual Music-themed Elvis Cruise

This cruise sounds terrific featuring live music and entertainment from some of Elvis’ former band mates and backup singers along with the best Elvis tribute artists in the world.

This "third annual music-themed Elvis Cruise aboard the 2,052-passenger Carnival Inspiration will depart Tampa roundtrip November 12 for four nights of Elvis and more Elvis en route to Cozumel, Mexico."

The caliber of performers on the cruise is pretty impressive!

Branson's Elvis Festival features "The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest" [Branson Courier]

On April 18 the Legends in Concert and Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc. will present Branson’s 3rd “The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest” in the Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater, starting at 7:00 p.m. The contest is one of only about 20 preliminary contests in the world sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises Inc.

Toronto Elvis Festival is April 4 & 5

Tax Dollars Spent On Elvis Impersonator

Toronto city councilors have been under the microscope about just how they spend their money..

"The most peculiar expense was filed by Coun. Glenn De Baeremaeker who spent $750 on the Elvis impersonator for his annual community picnic on June 19, 2008."

Sounds like money well spent to me!
